Danbury Parish Plan Workshop
- The Workshop was held on Saturday, 27th April in the URC Meeting Room in Little Baddow Road.
It was staffed by 3 members of the RCC headed by Michelle Pye. They welcomed the Danbury residents and members of the Danbury Plan Committee and produced pre-printed sheets of paper which gave everyone something to think about! Just because one has lived in the Village for 30 years does not mean that one knows why!
Having logged in on a large scale map where everyone participating lived, we were given Post-It -Notes to write what we liked about Danbury and what we did not. These were then pinned up around the room - it made interesting reading.
We were then split into 6 groups and given two Throw-Away-Cameras and asked to go to pre-determined areas and take pictures on fields, buildings and roads that you liked or did not. We met back in the URC Meeting Room for a light lunch while the pictures were being developed in Maldon. Once they were back we had the heart searching task of assembling these on sheets of paper under different headings. When this was completed a spokesperson from each group sumerized the results. The A414 going through the village obviously featured heavily as a No-No.
Arthur Allen thanked the RCC ladies and all those who had attended but said that it was a pity that more residents had not turned up.
